I'm interested in some ideas for making gifts out of stuff around the house, reused stuff, repurposed stuff, or original handmade gifts. I'm sooooo done with store-bought, brand-name, heavily-packaged, mainstream crap! I want to make unique, sustainable gifts to give next holidays (that's right, never too early to start thinking about it, especially if I want to make it myself!).
Does anyone have any great books or blogs they can recommend, for ideas? I'm looking for clothing, housewares, toys and kid stuff, and consumables (food and otherwise).
I always get a lot of ideas from the Handmade Holidays thread from each year. Here's this year's:
You might even be able to search a little and find the very long thread from 2010. There is also a 52 Project Challenge thread here that you might get some ideas from. Have fun!
Help make a family's holiday a little brighter
