I need some advise from crafty mamas. I have used my Bumgenuis 3.0 for 3 years now for my two boys. I like to retrofit them into pull-ups. The velcro is pretty much ...well... not velcro anymore, and boys won't wear them because they fall off.
I have 16 of them and i think it would be worth refitting them as training pants they can pull up and down on their own. What would you recommend? Snaps? Smoked Fabric for the waistband to connect them?
I could use a little guidance. My sewing skills are sub par, however, I'm crafty otherwise.
Any ideas are appreciated.
http://getantsy.com/Antsy-Pants-At-Night.html I would use the fabric that is on these. My mom made my son a pull up using that and I really liked it. She found it at JoAnn's. We don't have a snap press, so she sewed velcro in them, so they could be opened like a diaper if need be. If your kid poops at a reliable time, I'd say you don't even need the snaps/velcro on the side. I just liked it for when he pooped in the pull up.
