I want to knit a blanket for my son, who will be here late November, but I have NEVER knitted before and don't have much confidence in learning to needle knit for starting out. Any recomendations for knitting with looms or boards so I can make a baby blanket?
The knifty knitter looms are widely available, inexpensive, and the instructions are easy to understand. You could use either a round loom or a long loom for making a blanket, the knitting will be thicker if you use a long loom. I like these best, and they are also useful for making things like purses (and scarves). The round ones are maybe more useful for making hats, though.
