I am wondering if it would be a good idea to sew a cover using a couple layers of dark-colored tulle or something similar. I know that I hate having anything near my face that blocks my air, so I can't see subjecting my little one-on-the-way to that.  I don't know if that would be any more breathable than cotton, and opaque enough for privacy.

Im not a sewer but tulle is stiff and itchy (if i remember correctly).  Plus how do you wash that stuff?    Isnt that what girls tu-tus are made out of?

I have a boy so... Im not familiar with tulle but...just thinking about that makes me itch.
