Potato- Try motion sickness bands if nothing else worked. They helped me a bunch, I had horrible morning sickness with my first and third children.

I worked in my sewing room this evening, and I am taking a point for 4 items I made from stash fabric: I serged 2 single layers of flannel to make oversized receiving blankets; I used up a cotton print and made a large baby blanket, backed with flannel with quilt binding for edging, and used the rest of that print fabric (and quilt binding) to make a pillowcase for my older ds.  And my stash is lighter by a few yards. ;)

So 3/49 for me.

I do not need a picnic quilt after all; I found this canvas rug/blanket thing my DH bought for me that is perfect for picnics or the beach.  But I plan to buy a twin bed for my nearly 3 yo this week, and we have no twin bedding, so I need to make a blanket or quilt to go on his bed.  I have been saving fabrics to make an eye spy quilt for him, I may just do that in a twin.  But I am sure I will have to buy more fabrics for that!  I might hold off on buying that bed until after I make the blanket, so this needs to be my priority project, even before the (smaller) corduroy quilt that is only about half done.

I hope to take a big garden point by the end of tomorrow (fingers crossed).

House hunting tomorrow which means a lot of driving around and waiting for people.. Im bring along:

An Angel x-stitch ornament kit

prayer shawl Ive been working on

a cozy I'm working on for a swap

the hat I'm test knitting

a shirt that needs buttons and button holes seam riped

the barn purse I need to cast on walls for

A monster I'm knitting

a grenade I'm knitting for my husband

I figure among those I should find something that I can get myself to work on orngbiggrin.gif I have been having some major troubles concentrating on anything so lets hope I can concentrate on something.

ETA- "I'm knitting' between grenade and for my husband, I don't want anyone thinking I'm talking about an actual grenade.

1 leg warmer completed.  These seem to take a ridiculously long amount of time so for ME each friggin leg warmer is counting as a project. (very small crochet hook, not small fingers, bad eyes, not a good combo) but my DS is very happy with his ONE leg warmer  lol

1/52.

I have about 200 yards to go on a blanket and it will be done.  Possibly tonight.

Can't remember my last update but I am now 4/26. I organised the top shelf of our wardrobe and went to a sewing workshop run by a friend where I made a pair of wide-leg pants.

How did the house hunting go, Okimom?

House hunting was a bust, everyone wants you to buy and we aren't interested in buying. We are only looking at 1-2 years here and I don't want to be in the situation so many military families are in where they have to PCS but can't sell or rent the house they own at their last duty station. There is over 3000 vacant homes in Jacksonville for a reason, Im not interested in making it 3001 when we move. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

17/52.

I sewed a lovely nursing cover last night.  It is brown/pea/limegreen/blue print with a green print on the back.  I put green straps and even a pocket for nursing pads on it.  It also has boning and I haven't used boning in probably 14 years!  So that was interesting trying to figure out the best way to do that....

Today DD is sewing a sampler- so  I think that will be about all I get done.  I did knit a row on my shawl on Sunday.  14 rows left.....  Maybe later I can sneak in a little knitting time.

I think I finally decided how I want to finish my quilt.  I have log cabin blocks made and was going to alternate them with appliquéd blocks.  Well that is just never going to get done.  I am debating between all log cabin- need to lay out what I have- or some cute patchwork stars.  I will do an appliquéd border though.  Just saw an inspiration pattern in a magazine at the quilt shop today :)

the sewing lesson went well today.

6/52: Finished a little apron-dress thing for a friend's newborn. It didn't turn out quite as gorgeous as I'd hoped - not a fan of bias binding! - but it's done, and should look cute over a nappy or a onesie. I hope it fits... it's pretty tiny, and I haven't heard how much the baby weighs. Oh well.

I'm partway through making curtains for DD's room and her summer quilt, and I have fabric for her tablecloth and some boys' shorts prewashed and ready to go, and the dresser in the garage is still half-sanded, and the painting in several rooms of the house is still unfinished. So much for completing projects!

Congratulations Heather...How long has that man been home?

I am working on a UFO today.. some 'dinosaur' color yarn from who knows where... I'm just going to try to use up what I have and put this in the 'donation' pile.  I don't like the texture, I don't like the color and there is not enough yarn for a decent size blanket.  Maybe a large doll blanket or very small baby blanket when it's all said and done.

I knit on my shawl all last night- and might just chill and knit today.  For some reason I am just feeling very achy today :(  But if I could get it done by Sat or Sunday I could block it without fear of my kids going near it :)  That is a very ambitious goal since I still have about 11 rows left...

Congrats OkiMom!

I'm up earlier than my family this morning, and sitting here eating leftover fresh ginger cake with whipped cream (breakfast is important, folks) while I decide what to do today. I should finish sanding the dresser in the garage... or weed the veggie patch... or enter my mystery shopping results... or do some more work on DD's curtains... or cut out the pattern for the boys' sailor shorts... or ring the YMCA to see if DD's gym class starts today or next week. But I feel more like being lazy. Hmm.

Congratulations, Okimom!  That is fantastic news!

I just finished project that was originally intended to be a b-day gift for a 3rd bday party we are going to next weekend.  Now it looks too cute in my daughter's room so I am keeping it there. :)  I decided to just create a blog to upload the project photos so that I could look back on the year easier amd it would be easier to copy/paste photos.  I'm not working on growing an audience for it, it's pretty much only going to be shared here.

So, my project was making balls out of old felted sweaters.  I have a ton of scraps in my scrap pile and I've been wanting to stuff something with them for ages.  The balls are super heavy (hubby's been making a a ton of jokes about my balls now) but the children are having fun rolling them around and stacking them.  They would definitely be more throwable if I used cotton stuffing, but I wanted up upcycle those scraps.

Here's a link to the blog:
