It looks like I'm finally going to order a spinning wheel! Yippee! I've been wanting one for years. I have had my eye on an Ashford Kiwi. Yay!

Any of you have a spinning wheel?

I will! I've wanted one since I first learned to knit and crochet.

Thank goodness for income tax returns (and a new baby, hehe).

With that, I ordered some snazzy wood knitting needles and crochet hooks. I have no excuse now! LOL!

The nice thing is that the seller gave me free shipping and a coupon code for $50 worth of fiber! Nice, right?

Yes, I have a wheel that I haven't used for a while.  But the kids are now a bit older and at least interested or able to keep themselves busy.

I am surprised at how I managed to keep my spinning skills.  Perhaps I've become more practical in my old age :) and have chosen to spin good, easy Romney wool instead of slick, slippery.... I don't know what..... because that fiber was a bitch to spin.  I'm still something of a beginner, and I think to myself, "what was I thinking?"

I'm glad you are getting your wheel.  It is really such a peaceful pastime.
