has anyone done a carrier or simple sling??? I am looking at the prices of those things (!!!!!) and hoping i can make something...something safe. 

 

Any other newborn ideas?  Ive done a couple cocoons hats and a sweater.

I've wanted to knit a baby carrier before -- a friend suggested felting as a solution. That would potentially help it be strong & not so stretchy.
