Isa - sorry, I forgot to reply to you! Unfortunately I don't know of any French conversions :-( I hope you can find something.

Angelorum - lovely hats! And the pictures look an ordinary size to me

I finished the top of my neice's quilt yesterday. Yay! Now I just need to find a fabric for the back and probably the binding as well.

24/52 - a skirt for DD1. Just because she asked me to make her a skirt :-)

25-26/52 - two pairs of corduroy trousers for DD1 because she is growing out of all her winter clothes.

I've found the backing and binding fabric for the quilt and decided how going to quilt it. Now it just needs to happen :-)

Just realized I finished up a few big things at the end of July, and never came here to share.

I recycled a cashmere sweater, and dyed all the resulting yarn a lovely green. This is just one of the skeins, I have 3 more.

37/52

I made myself a swimsuit! It was sort of a wearable muslin, the pattern still needs some tweaking, and I need to figure out a way to keep the bust from getting dragged down in the water, but it's wearable enough for playing in the kiddie section at the water park!

38/52

I made a couple of hair flowers. I recently cut around 9-10" off my hair, and I've been playing with some retro pin-curl 'dos. So I needed some hair flowers to go with the vintage feel

39/52

And I finished this mohair sweater I've been knitting. Kind of a silly thing to finish in the heat of summer, but I'll enjoy it in a few months, hopefully!

27/52 - a ballet bag for DD1 who I starting ballet classes this week. I used the Pink Penguin's lunch bag tutorial

http://ayumills.blogspot.com.au/2010...h-bag.html?m=1

I posted some pics to a local craft group I belong to and the manger of a cafe which also sells local homemade items us asked me to make up a few for them to sell, so that's a bit exciting.

Angelorum, I love the swimmers!

28/52 - a ballet bag for DD2
29-31/52 - tote bags for me and the girls. Oversized for me, half-sized for them.
32/52 - ballet bag for my friend's toddler

I started crochet classes this week too so I have a rather wonky granny square blanket on the go. I'm planning to keep going until it's doll-sized then give it to the girls.

33/52 - a divided tote bag for crochet projects. I'm not very happy with it though. The proportions are weird - long and narrow - and the divider doesn't reach the bottom of the bag. It does the job but I used some of my favourite fabric so I'm a bit peevish.

My granny square blanket it coming along nicely. My teacher figured out what I was doing wrong so it's square now. Yay! I've become a bit addicted.

And, I'm not going to count this as a project but the teaching assistant at DD1's kindy is starting maternity leave this week. We were invited to contribute a small item to a gift basket for her so I've appliqued a couple of singlets.

I spent most of August doing some much needed mending, but I have recently finish a couple of things.

First a dress I started way back in April. It sat in time out for a long time, because it had some fit problems, and the fabric isn't doing quite what I wanted it to, but at least it's wearable now, and very comfy.

37/52

Next, a scarf. The yarn is some handspun I made last year. It has beads, but I think should have gone for higher contrast when picking the beads, you can't really see them unless you look closely.

I haven't updated this thread in forever, thanks for the post, zebra! And, we just got a Joann in my town, my stash has grown too :P

As you can tell from the ticker, I started a new project a few months ago, and it has kind of zapped my energy for much else. I have finished a few things that I never posted, though!

I made some new knee socks. This pattern was fun, and it's so lacy that a regular 100g skein of sock yarn is enough to complete them!

The bows are made with fold over elastic. The pattern called for ribbon, but there is no way that would be comfy! The FOE is comfortable and keeps the socks up just fine.

39/52

I knitted and felted these ballet slippers. They could stand to be a bit longer, I don't like the way they pull on my big toes. The top edge came out too high for my tastes, so I trimmed it back and then bound the edge with the polka dot bias tape. It worked ok, but the edge got a little stretched out when I was doing the binding, so it doesn't sit quite flush with the foot. I want to adjust the pattern and try again sometime.

40/52

And I knitted these two cute little things. I want to eventually have a whole bunch of little things to display on my mantle, and change out for each season, so this is a start.

42/52

Last, I made this newborn size sleep gown. I sent a picture of it as an announcement to family when earlier in the pregnancy. I want to make a big stack, but the new Joann doesn't have the right fabric, and I can't even find it on their website! I am crossing my fingers they didn't do away with the line :/

43/52

That leaves 9 more for the year! It might be a stretch, but I think I'm getting my energy back.

Where is everyone else? Doing any gift-making for Christmas, yet? I really need to get on that!

34/52 - crocheted granny square blanket. Doll-sized. My first project from crochet class. I'm very happy with it.

35/52 - three crochet hats. None of which I was completely happy with. But the girls like them and the doll-sized one fits several of their dolls.

36/52 - crochet tea cosy. My final class project.

I'm currently working on a cardigan for DD2.

37 & 38/52 - two summer dresses for DD1. I used the First Day Dress pattern from Dana Made It. One a-line and one swirly skirted. I'm really pleased with them. I plan to make more and do some of the peplum tops as well.

I'm also still plugging away at several baby quilts. I've finally started quilting one, about which I had quite a mental block. Of course, now I've started it, it's fine!

Angelorum, congratulations on your long-term project :-) Lovely news. I love the lacy socks. And the little sleep suit is so sweet.

My stash is growing too but we are saving for a bathroom renovation now (leaky bath) so I am trying to be more circumspect.

Think this thread has been largely abandoned but I'm curious about my tally.

39/52 - Christmas skirt for DD1

40/52 - Christmas trousers for DD2. They ended up being waaaay too small so I gave them to my niece

41/52 - Christmas trousers for DD2 which fit, just. The Dana Made It shorts pattern seems to run very small.

42-45/52 - Christmas stockings for the four of us. We've never done stockings before but I've caught the bug this year.

The cardigan and quilts were set aside while Christmas things took centre stage. Back to them soon though.

I might as well add the rest of them. I am quite pleased with how many projects I have finished this year. Many of them were already started or even mostly done, so this year was designated as the year I drastically reduce my wip projects.

68 knitted circular shawl
69 gypsy shawl
70 knitted felted doll
71 felted dryer balls
72 crocheted small throw
73 knitted fingerless gloves
