I am just entering the world of sewing and I intend to learn to crochet soon as well.. But I am concerned with making sure that the clothing, blankets, etc. that I intend to create are NON TOXIC to myself and my family.. Since I have heard of all the toxins in dyes and material of many clothing products I wondered how to choose materials that are non toxic to work with myself? Are there any particular go-to fabrics? Should I dye them naturally myself or are here brands that sell naturally dyed material? I'm hoping to hear from someone with experience creating homemade pieces with natural materials. treehugger.gif

In case you're curious about my status: I'm Kate, I spend every miraculous day with my darling soul mate JB and we are expecting our first baby (boy!) ...

It looks like your post might have been missed so I'm bumping it up for attention. :bump: Anyone have a recommendation to share?
