No direct answer to your question here, but an idea that worked for me...
When I needed personalized labels for my company, and fabric content and washing instructions and all that, I had custom rubber stamps made instead. I printed the info on the inside of the neck, sometimes my logo (small) on the sleeve. I always used white ink, because I was making baby clothes in bright cottons. I don't know what you are using the labels for, so this might not be even close to what you need. It wouldn't work on handknits for example. But it saved me a ton of money, was very easy to apply, and avoided itchy tags.
