hello! i'm doing the ltk soaker pattern for the first time, and i've got a question.

it says, "continue to knit every round, inserting short rows every 8th round, until it measures 3 1/2" (4 1/2", etc.) from cast on edge."

i'm doing the infant size, so i'm aiming for the 4 1/2" size, but does that measurement apply to the front or the back of the soaker?

it seems the back is significantly longer than the front because of the added short rows.

thank you for helping out this baby knitter!

Measure the front-the side without the short rows.

Happy Knitting!
