I started with aluminium needles when I learned to knit in middle school, and now I use a combo of aluminium and bamboo needles. I saw these really pretty Brittany Birch needles and wondering if people like them or not. And how about the addi turbo circular needles?

I love bamboo, but I still like my inox ones. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't like my addi turbos at all because they are too lightweight (which is probably why most people love them).

Brittany birch are supposed to be really nice, but I don't have any because I'm not fond of straight needles. I might get some double pointed ones some day though.

My homemade from dowel needles, but then again, they're the only ones I have.

I hope to try some bamboo ones I saw at a craft store this week, someday.... I'd also love to try circulars, but all I ever see are 29" length. grumble....

"What will you do once you know?"

Well I only have a few knitting needles, bamboo circs and wood needles from LTK. I tried using alum and really hated them, way too slippery and didnt feel as nice. So Im not even gonna waste my own money on them, and just use wood/bamboo.

Addi Turbos. The only needles I'll use unless they're absolutely inappropriate for the project. I have a shawl going on Clover bamboo circulars and they're the best bamboo I've used.

For double-pointed needles, I really like the Brittany birch and also the Bryspun casein needles. Nice and flexible. Too bad they don't come smaller than a US 2.

I love Brittany birch needles. Almost all of my needles are from them. I have a few walnut pairs, and a couple sets of bamboo. Bamboo are nice for tiny sizes because they have a bit more flex - I don't worry about breaking size 0s in bamboo. I wish I could find smaller than 0 in bamboo...

I'm absolutely addicted to addi turbos. LIKE BUTTAH is right!! My knitting flies right off of them, and I am pissy when I can't use them.

I have lots of Brittanies as well--I like them--but they ain't addi turbos! LOL

I noticed last Wed at my yarn shop that addi now has bamboo circulars. Someone should try them out....not me though, I LOVE MY STEEL ADDIS!!

(is there a 12 step program for this?)

But then we'd have to stop being users. I dunno if I could handle that! LOL
