I try to knit a little each day, and usually I cant unless I have atleast one child on my lap. Doesnt go so well with ds, I kept poking him.

But here is my little partner in crime:

2nd cutest

I prop her up on a sofa pillow then onto my lap, as I knit she gets into the yarn, its so sweet.

And Im so proud of myself, I got ssk, k2tog, AND purling down! Im thrilled, though still terribly slow.

I do the same thing. I prop dd#2 up in our boppy, then on my lap and somehow her arm always get a hold of the yarn. DH is a little nervous I'll poke her with the needles (when I'm using 4 double needles). I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this.

I don't knit with DS on my lap because he is way too grabby at 6 months. I usually lay him on the bed with about 50 toys to keep him occupied for long enough for me to do 1 or 2 rows.... depending. Or I knit while he is alseep on the bed next to me. I have accidently left my needles and a pen on the bed when I ran out of the room for 2 minutes, he had just started scooting on his tummy and was able to get to the pen. I'm just glad he only marked himself up a little and didn't go for the needles... for some reason the pen seems safer to me. :
