I am looking for a pattern to sew a balaclava and or a pilots cap. Kinda like these ones

It gets cold here like -40 Celcius cold, and I would like to sew a wool balaclava for my babe!

Help?

balaclava -- I have no idea!

pilots cap ---> burda makes a pattern for them, that I think is quite good (or so I'm told I never managed to attempt it before dd was born). I don't have the pattern, but could probably find the number later.

The balaclava pattern is done by a company I see in JoAnn's in one of the spinning racks. I want to sy it is Green Peppers or something with peppers anyway. They have lots of patterns for fleece things. I have seen it at the Malden Mills store as well (in person) but don't know if they carry those on their website.

That is cool. Pretty much what I am trying to make. I used DH as a pattern head, and made a pattern. Now I have some wool coming, but am wondering what they use in the pic on the site I posted for around the face. Here is another site with a good pic of what I mean! Scroll down to Baby Hood

Is it like a wool binding or something?
