Hey mamas,

I'm starting to think of crafty holiday gifts for family - gotta get a head start while I can...anyone want to help with suggestions? Anyone want to play? Here's my list:

Older brother: wall street maverick, but he has a soft spot for my ds - ?
Younger brother: ex-pat in jolly old England - ?
Mum: probably going to be getting knitting related gift - stitch markers and bamboo needles (and LTK yarn)
Dad: ? (does anyone *ever* know what to get their dads?)

FIL: Professor - probably a silk bow tie or two...
MIL: Flaky but nice - knitted angora shawl?
SIL: fashionista marketing gal - maybe a glam scarf or poncho?
BIL: neo-hippy outdoorsy type - getting him travel cubes and ?

All suggestions are welcome, wild and wackier the better.

Have you looked over the sticky note ideas? There are lots of great ideas, but I know it can be hard if you want to do individualized gifts...
Are you going to be making the silk bowties??? How fab!
You must knit your ex-pat brother something for foggy England. Or has he already been exhausted with the sweaters?!
I really don't have many specific ideas, but I am excited to hear what others have to recommend.
BTW, I insist on making gifts, but when it comes to my dad, I always end up buying a DVD or CD I just don't know what to do! (I did make him a blanket one year. That went over well with his consumerist wife who wanted everything in their room to match the Ralph Lauren scheme... : )
