I am looking for a source of ribbed, cotton knit binding to do on the edges of blankets. when I do a search, all that really comes up is clothes that have this- ugh. I need to be able to get it by the yard...Thanks!

If you go to a fabric store, they'll have ribbed knit on bolts. It's knit in a circular so there are no side selvedges on the fabric. You could just cut a 1" strip (or however wide you want) for as long as you want (around and around and around) and get it that way. Otherwise I'm not sure what to suggest.

Thanks, pageta. I live in an area where my only fabric options are Walmart and a quilting and uphostering place which I know doesnt' carry knits. How might i search for them online? Should i just say "ribbed knits" and then get 1" strip. I'm also a fairly novice sewer, so not really sure exactly what 'selvedges' are . Thanks!
