I am tryin to make soap as gifts. I have tried a couple of bars tonight and it doesn't seem to be working.

The recipe i have calls for melting a regular bar of glycerin soap. Is this different from melt and pour soap found in a craft store? What consistency should the soap be when it is melted? How long does it take to microwave the soap rather than heating it in a double boiler?

The recipe book that i have doesn;t seem to be the greatest. I have tried other recipes in there today and they too did not turn out (very runny shampoo and shower gel)

Does anyone have an easy recipe for shower gel or shampoo?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

From what i understand, you'll have to let that soap set for two weeks or longer for it to harden again. Probably not what you had in mind!

There is a recipe for shampoo in teh healthy home forum.

Good luck
