I took one of my small too small on my dd ivory broadcloth Kiwi's and dyed it. It turned out SOOOOOO pretty! A kind of reddish pink...reminds me of spring tulips. I may get real wilk and paint a tulip on the bum or front.

Anyhow I will have to post pics. I got kind of tired of plain ivory and wanted a change, it is for the goodm but I do not have a baby small enough for it now. LOL

I wanna see too! I dyed a natural sugar peas wool cover last summer (with kool-aid) and ended up loving it. I was really nervous about it, and it was *just* a lowly sugar peas, not a kiwi!! :LOL

Yes! I did the Kiwi. It looks awesome. DH even said it was cool!

It reminds me of that reddish color so popular now. It is all about how much water you add of course.

I will take pics when it is dry

I am considering doing something to make it slightly speckled like an easter egg????

Beautiful!!!

So can we assume that that cover was serged in woolly nylon? If it was serged in wool (like Maria does now, i think) the serging would have been dyed too?

Beautiful color! It turned out great!! If you are having any bleeding try soaking it in vinegar water. Vinegar acts as a natural fixative. I dyed a Luxe Baby (our first and only Luxe wool, that had faded and stained after alot of use!) a really bright green/blue and it was bleeding a bit. After a nice soak in some vinegar it works great...no more bleeding!!

Ah! This is the advice I needed. I have a teal-dyed kiwi that sometimes will bleed onto really saturated dipes. I will try setting it.

Really amazing dye job, Summie. Looks fabulous (grand hand gestures included!)
