I just used some yummy cotton terry to make prefolds for the new babe. I'm finding I like prefolds with knit fabrics because they give you a snugger fit. (I have some fantastic hemp/cotton knit ones made by a friend.)

use knit fabrics, like old T-shirts or cute knit prints from the fabric store...you'll be so pleased with the results!

Oh....I love prefolds! This sounds like so much fun!

How much sewing skill would you need to sew prefolds?

Couldn't get more basic. If you can sew a straight line you can manage.

I've seen some prefolds with cute tie dyed fabric down the center panel. Seems like you could do this with any type of print fabric.
