Bearsmama, SunRayeMomi and Mom4tot - Thank you for your kind words! It was very theraputic to do. But I still tear up whenever I look at it. I miss him so!

Mom4tot - You probably aren't going to like my answer. There really aren't any great ways, at least non that I've found. I've punched holes on the sides of vellum quotes and used a thin ribbon or thread to attach the quote. And they make something called vellum tape. I've had marginal success with this, it's finicky to use and not the strongest bond. Maybe someone else had some ideas, I pretty much don't use vellum anymore because I never know how to attach it!

I use vellum adhesive a lot. It shows through but only a tiny tiny bit. You can also use eyelets but I don't imagine that appeals to you if brads don't.

Beautiful pages for your grandpa Kewpie

and I use the velum tape as well. You can add a sticker to camaflage (sp) the see through part, but I tend to go with brads or eyelets... I love using velum so I don't have to see my own handwriting

This thread has been so inspiring to me!

We moved house 6 months ago, and I've had HG for most of this pregnancy, so it's been at least HALF A YEAR since I did a layout!

But Wednesday and Thursday nights I dug out my supplies and I've done 4 pages in two days! I am so pleased.

And last night DH sat down with me and showed me some Photoshop tricks to makes my photographs looks so much better, which is really exciting for me.

Thanks for this thread everyone. I'll be following with much interest!

PS Here is one of my newest layouts.

Great albums guys... I must admit that although I've been scrapbooking for a few years - my pages are not quite as fancy as all of yours... But I have fun, so that's what counts right? I'll have to post some pictures from the baby album I've been working on.

Cullens Girl, definitely that's what counts! I tell people that all the time when they say things like, "I could never do pages like this" while looking at my albums. Then I tell them that eventually they probably will do pages like that, anyway!

I need to take a picture of my very first pages The first one was green construction paper and the pictures were matted with orange construction paper Very basic and not fancy at all, but I sure do love it! (except for my handwriting ) I have since then done 7 albums, and it's interesting to see how they change. And not always for the better

I have a business meeting here tomorrow night, but as soon as it's over I'm breaking out the scrappin' stuff and getting back to work!

Yes, Stevie, it is interesting to see the changes, and not always for the better. Did you get to scrap last night?

I haven't been able to scrap in such a long time! My ds is 4 and the only pages done in his book are my pregnancy pages and ultrasound pages. My dd is 7 and her book is only scrapped up to her 1st birthday!! I even have a scraproom! It's all set up nicely, but I haven't done any pages. I did make my Christmas cards, thank you cards and I've altered a few comp books for journals for my kiddos. No pages though. I really need to get crackin'! But how long have I been saying that?

Hey Kimmy; I'll come to use your scraproom if it gets you motivated LOL! I still haven't gotten my stuff out and now DD has a playdate this afternoon so I'm waiting till that's over and then it'll be when? I MUST get moving if I don't want to get even further behind! One page at a time, right?

IT...IS...DONE!!!

Two months shy of my daughter's second birthday, I finished her first year album. Better late than never. It's 102 crazy pages.

Future children will have to get over the fact that their albums will be half the size at best.

Pics are in my siggy if you care to take a look - 11 months, 1 year, bday party and professional pics we had taken.

I always say this, so cover your ears (eyes) if you've heard (read) it before. I don't think scrapping should be just one more thing on your to-do list. It should be fun. So I never think of myself as "behind". I just do whatever I feel like working on at the time, and don't think of it in terms of "catching up".

Megsmom, I read your philosophy on scrapbooking and 'being behind' about a month ago and I've been diligently keeping it in mind! It's liberating to cruise at my own speed rather than feeling like I have to get everything finished. I didn't start scrapbooking until my youngest was 4 (my oldest was 7) so I've got LOTS to 'catch up' on ... but now I'm thinking of it as reliving their babyhood and I'm enjoying it

Nice scrappin' corner I am officially jealous! I have been getting some pages done thanks to two all day crops with friends
DS's second year is about half done and DD's 4th year is done and her 7th year of life is fast approaching I am finding that I am being much more selective witth the pictures I scrap

Just checking in with this great thread, again, to get some inspiration and motivation to get back to my scrappin'! I think that the last time I scrapped was about 5 weeks ago. I am still working on my Christmas photos.

Need help with two things right now: Storage/organization & motivation. Oh, and fitting it all in. You know, I think I like to do TOO much. I know it's not a bad thing to have a few interests, but I'd like to be able to work scrapbooking into regular rotation.

I keep all my scrapping stuff in an old, 5 drawer, dresser. Not so great b/c I can't see everything and also it is now tucked away in our spare room, which is not the best place for various reasons. Not the least of which is that the light sucks and well, I'm just looking for a better way to store it all.

I'll look to all of you and this thread for the kick in the pants I need!

Welcome, Erin! Just jump in, you don't need many supplies to get started - some paper or cardstock, some adhesive, a trimmer, and some pictures!

I think we're coming out of winter hibernation in this thread.
Okay I need great ideas ladies....I am making a scrapbook for my sister's baby shower in two weeks. First page I've planned around baby photo of her and dh with all their "vital stats",<this page I'm filling in. next page is "first pets" (they have 3 cats and a dog), a welcome baby page and a sleepy/nite nite page......
Give me some more ideas of pages. They have a digital camera so I want it to be easy for her to fill in the blanks. Should I glue down some matting shapes? Or just leave it for freehand placement?
I also am enclosing month stickers and holiday pages, maybe just in the back then she can put them in chronologically......
Help....
