I have an old wooden rocking horse that has an embedded yarn mane and tail. It really needs to be replaced. Anyone have any thoughts about how to do this?
Thanks!

I've totally been meaning to ask the same thing!

Mooooom! to  guitar.gifDS (1/05) and whistling.gifDSS (11/05).  TTC fingersx.gifour "ours" after VR on 10/12.

At the local waldorf nursery school, there is a lovely, old rocking horse. It has lots of 'dings' and scratches, and the finish is worn to the wood. The embedded mane and tail have been trimmed close, like a show pony. It is a 'real' toy, like the rocking horse in _The Velveteen Rabbit_. It wears its love well.

Someday I secretly hope to crop the mane and tail of my children's rocking horse... perhaps for grandchildren to play with...
