Ok, so I have a bunch of Corduroy. Its not the prettiest, brownish, but very usable. I am not comfortable in trying to make a pair of pants just yet. Not out of such heavy material.

Sooooooooo, ideas anyone???

I have used it for the outside of diapers, and I have made a purse out of it.

I have some wide-wale lt. brown corduroy, and the purse I made has that as the outer, and the inner is black with brown, white, and magenta stripes.

i also made purses out of it but also did one side of an abc carrier with a coordinating cotton on the otherside, it turned out cute, i have also cut out flowers and overlapped them in such to make a broach looking accent and sewn the flower onto jeans for my dd with a coordinating cotton print as ruffles on the bottom of the jeans, turned out pretty cute as well!

I'm sure you could...most corduroys are 100% cotton, so use a dye that works on cotton.

I used so scrap corduroy to make a changing bag. Just a padded rectangle big enough for a changing pad. It's corduroy on both sides, with pockets on one side. I then attached a pink ribbon and roll and tie it. Nicer than the cold vinyl, machine washable and soft on the little bum.

Bags to put toys in, little bags for my DS's laptop accessories, beanbags, a skirt, kids overalls, sewing machine cover, I'm sure other things. I love that it holds it's shape and is very easy to sew with!

I used brown corduroy for the bottom and lining for a diaper bag and wine color
corduroy for halfway up and then batik for the rest of it. It came out really good it was bigger than I wanted but I'm planning on making another smaller one soon.
