Hi newbies!

Thanks for joining. I moved everyone to the "members" section who had put their code in correctly. Sophie - I moved you but your template layout is all messed up. All of your ring links are on top of each other on top of your profile, and your text is going over into your links. I think you need to make your text box smaller.

Michelle - you are still a member. If you click on the link to the next site of MDC KNits from your blog, it works. You must have forgotten your login info.

Hey!

I joined the blogring many months ago. For the first time in a long while I tried the 'Previous'/'Next' links from my page and they didn't work. I went to the list page, and I'm not there anymore. Anyone know what happened? Can I get back on there?

Hi Castle,

The blogring has a once-a-month posting rule, and you didn't post from 6/01 to 8/25. That's almost three months and somewhere in the middle, we deleted you from the ring. We have posted here reminding people of it several times before we deleted members.

We're happy to have you back if you reapply but just remember that if you don't post for a month and a half, you will be deleted again. I do try to send out individual reminder e-mails but it gets hard now that there are so many ring members, and MoMommy has had to stop co-moderating due to her pregnancy and being so busy with her family.

Thanks for the response, PikkuMyy!

I'm subscribed to this thread, so I'm surprised I didn't see any reminders of the posting frequency rule. Unless, is there a different email list I should have been on to receive messages about the ring? I never received a warning or anything.

No worries. I'll sign up again and I'll be better about updating more often.

Thanks again!

Castle - the warnings weren't in this thread - they were posted in their own thread. I freely admit that not everyone got an individual warning - there were so many people who had html code incorretly, and many who had not updated in a long time. Since then, I have attempted to match all e-mail address with the corresponding website but that takes a lot of work. I'm almost done.

You will certainly get an individual e-mail if that happens in the future. Sorry!

Yay! I joined and (with some help from this thread) I successfully added the blogring site code! HTML makes my head hurt when I'm holding an infant with a two year old running around screaming.

Wow! I never heard about it, either, since I am subscribed to this thread and don't regularly watch all the new knitting threads. I think that things should be posted in here! I guess this means I need to get my behind in gear and figure out how to get the links set up correctly at myspace. I've been avoiding it because it's boggling my mind.

Hey, PikkuMyy, did you ever end up getting another co-moderator?

I submitted my blog to rejoin the group last week, and I got the message saying my submission was received, but I'm still not added to the ring yet. I was given the id number 121. http://clutchcreations.blogspot.com/

I know you're busy. Once I get added again, I'd be happy to help out with moderating duties if you want.

Do you have the new blogger? If so, from your dashboard click on settings, then template. It will bring up the add and arrange page elements page. Click on "Add a page element" and then choose "HTML/Javascript". You can enter the code in the box that pops up and then save it. If you want to re-arrange where it shows up on your blog, then you just click and drag the elements where you wish.

Cool beans! The new Blogger is pretty nifty, the widget tool is great for those who aren't knowledgeable about HTML. So quick and easy!

Funny b/c I am fairly knowledgeable in HTML but couldn't find where to put the codes.

So another question, kind of unrelated but how to put links to blogs you read? like join other blogs to read? I couldn't figure that out. And I sent a comment in reply to yours on my page. I also couldn't figure out how to reply without just leaving a comment on your page

There's a box you can check on the HTML page to show the widget HTML too. The code does look different to me sometimes than regular HTML but I just know enough HTML to edit my webpage or blog.

You can use the widget to post a blogroll too! Do the add a page element and choose links list. Then you can build a blog roll. Mine is getting too long thouhg!

Oy - I'm sorry I haven't been here/active in so long!

We have been in the process of moving for two months with awful delays and switches. Anyway, we're settled in now and I'll get back to my moderating duties. I never did get a co-mod so I'm happy for either Michelle or Castle to help.

I just went through the queue and moved everyone to members who had the ringcode on their site. However, there were three people who had a link to the blogspot MDC Knits site but not the code to click between people in the ring. If you can't figure it out, PM me.

Thanks again for your patience!
