I found this stuff in a leftover bin at Joanne's for like $2,,,it's pink/gold, about three yards.

I'd love to figure out something to do with it where the sun would glow through it, but not a plain old boring curtain.....

Any ideas?

you could try making a mosquito net type hanging for over your bed.....use a large hoop (like a hula hoop from a toy store) and attach it like you would a curtain to a curtain rod...with either tabs or rings.
you could also make smaller versions of these to hang near windows or on a verandah (if you've got one)..

I use textiles such as quilts as tablecloths.

Also I have a basket full of dressup silks and cloths for imaginary play. A beautiful sari would be a wonderful addition to a dress up basket.

You are fortunate to have such a find.

Perhaps your babies are too big for it but you could make a beautiful sling with it?

I'm sorry I never got back to you all, here's what I did....

I cut it in pieces, used tiny thin pieces of wire, and made a giant star out of it, which is hanging on my front door. It's got almost 20 "rays". It's huge, and the sun light filters through it, but it's also protected from the really late beating down afternoon sun. It might not last as long there as it would safely in a basket, not fading, but it brings me real joy.

Thanks for the ideas!

Sure, but it may take me a while, I let my sister take the digi cam with her to California and she won't be back for a few weeks, she's doing the horse show thing out there.

I used the star pattern out of a paper folding book I got from Hearthsong.com

As soon as I get my camera back, I'll send it along. : )
