I want to paint the heels and sole of my wooden dr scholl 'diva' sandals to match a sundress with sunset colors. Any tips or suggestions on what kind of paints might work best and anything to coat them with so my feet are not sunset also? Thanks for reading!!

Sand the area you want to paint with fine grit paper, just to rough up the surface so the paint will stick. Use craft paint. It's cheap, it's easy, and will stick just fine. It also comes in any color you want. After the paint is dry, go over it with some varnish. You can get water based varnish in little bottles right there in the craft section by the craft paints. I would definitely put a clear coat on top of the craft paint. Much less likely to give you rainbow feet.
UGG my shoes turned out like **** and so I have painted them over a solid light pink and am now trying to decupage some little fairies on them. If I can get them to look anywhere near decent I will post a picture up to share.
