I really want to get some of this yarn it comes in pretty colors and I thought it would be good for a sweater vest. Has anyone used this yarn. It is a cotton, modal blend. I don't know a thing about modal. I have the swatches from Knitpicks for it and I like the feel of it. Has anyone used this and what did you think?

I used it for a sweater for my niece. It has a really nice feel to it.
The only thing I did not like was that it splits really easily. I had to keep re-twisting the yarn and redo stitches b/c you cannot hide any mistakes with it.

I haven't used that particular yarn, but modal is spun beechwood cellulose. It's a lovely fiber. Um, sort of like bamboo in texture and sheen.

I have used it for pants and a sweater. The colors are great and it has a heavy, soft feel. I like it in the finished garment but not as I knit it. The only downside for me was that, like someone else said, it really shows mistakes and funny stitches such as ends of short rows.

I found this review of it.

I have used it, but only for little face clothes. It feels nice to knit with. It could feel too slick for some. I did not have a problem with splitting. They say it can be machine washed and dryed. The colors are very fun. I would give it a try.

I made a Crumpets Dress with it and LOVED it. It was so soft and easy to work with!

It did take me FOREVER to decide on a color though!
