Does anyone make their own candles?
I'd like to make some beeswax candles. I don't want to make the kind that is rolled from honeycomb sheets. I want to pour them into jars or molds.
I have made hand-dipped ones as a child at my Waldorf school, but I have no idea whether they added anything to the beeswax before they melted it. And I don't know if there is anything I need to do differently if I pour them.
I was thinking what I would really like to do right now is make some with citronella. The citronella candles I have found are all paraffin, and I would really like some beeswax ones.
I am also hoping that making beeswax candles myself will work out to be less expensive than buying them pre-made.
Can anyone tell me how to do this or recommend any websites or books to recommend on this? I did a search but I am only coming up with instructions for rolling them.
