I just picked it up today and I it! Too bad it's not for me.

Wildfoote "Purple Splendor"

For those of you who have used this is one skein per sock resonable? My swapee doesn't want a crazy high length or an ankle sock. If I need to I can go get more but am hoping this is good enough. It says to use size 1's or 2's. I plan on using the 2's.

100 grams of fingering/sock yarn should be fine for a pair.

So each skein is 50 grams (215 yards a skein). Is that enough for a decent length sock? I've only ever made a sock (yes..just one ) with Art yarna dnt hat is far thicker than this!

Okie dokie I found the pattern i want to use (Falling Leaves from Knitty) and it uses the exact amount I have! Yay!

You've made 1 sock, and now you're jumping to falling leaves? dude. You're brave. I'm still trying to figure out what pattern to use, we've decided to both branch out and do lace/cables but I haven't picked out anything yet.

Wait a minute.....OMM, what's your sn over there?

Oh nm OMM, I think you have the same 1st name as my partner for the sock swap, but the measurements you have in the falling leaves one are different.

Ah, well, if I had purchased (or even picked it out) yet, I would be happy to show you! We emailed re:colors and patterns, but I forgot to ask her about fibre preferences. So now I'm waiting to hear back from her. That's ok. Gives me that much more time to figure out what the heck I'm gonna make.
