has any one used them, why are they so popular? I am considering buying the nappy bag pattern, but it's hard the tell online what the bag exactly looks like (pockets, etc). why are her patterns so popular? are they easy to use, or just trendy?

I made the nappy bag. Liked it ok but tweaked it to make it better fit what I wanted. I didn't buy it - a wonderful mama let me use hers. I personally think they are overpriced for being just a bag pattern yk?

I think Amy Butler patterns are adorable, but really, it's the fabric that makes them. Even a simple pattern made with her fabrics is going to look as smart as as her own patterns. I have three or four of her patterns, but I can make up my own for some of her more simple things and save the $12 her patterns cost.

I just posted that I am going to make a backpack/diaper bag out of a Simplicity (I think it is) pattern with these Amy Butler fabrics:

Actually, I think her patterns and designs are extremely user friendly They are worth it, IMO.

I am about to make my second nappy bag with some Etsuko fabric this week.

Due with number 5 in August. We do all that crunchy stuff.

Oh, I'm not saying they aren't user friendly or worth it or totally awesome! Cuz they are! I have a few of them. I just love her fabrics more than her patterns -- anything made with her fabrics is bound to be gorgeous. I'm making a quilt, diaper bag, and dresses for DD out of her fabrics.

Ooo, I like Denyse Schmidt too!

The quilt I'm making has some Kaffe Fasset in it too. It's all bright, wild shades of hot pink, turquoise, magenta in crazy floral-ish prints. I'll post a pic when I'm done.

My current nappy bag I'm using is is the byzantine print. It's a brown with all kinds of circles and dots. I have another one that has a yellow/orange background on some stuff inmy kitchen I seriously considered buying all of it up on reprodepot.

Due with number 5 in August. We do all that crunchy stuff.

oh, why did I have to go visit reprodepot? curse you.

I have 2 AB patterns waiting for a trip to the fabric store that sells her fabric, and where I have a gift certificate! Now, if I can just wait for a sale....

You think THAT'S bad???!!!

I was just in a store in Berkeley last week, where I found some of this:
http://reprodepot.com/etflmo.html

It is sold out everywhere, but I got 1 1/2 yards

to make another bag. They had the BEST selection IRL that I know of.
http://www.stonemountainfabric.com/ I just happened upon it while walking around the downtown after visiting The Habitot with a friend.

Due with number 5 in August. We do all that crunchy stuff.

Do any of you scrapbook? Through K&Company Amy Bulter has designed scrapbook papers and accessories. Looks like it won't be available til April 07, but they should sell it at Michael's since they sell K&Company stuff there.

I finished some decorated tins using the new Amy Butler scrapbooking papers - Belle collection. I'm offering these tins at the current MDC craft swap.
