My soon-to-be 5 year old boy wants to make his own book. He's somewhat of a perfectionist (like his mama), and I know he'll want it to have thick pages like a real board book. Any ideas of how on earth to do this???

TIA

Well here's my idea...

I would take cardboard or super duty card-stock (you should be able to find either at a stationery store) and then mod-podge on the image that you want. Then I would put in holes with a heavy duty punch and add rivets (they have these at the scrapbook store). I would "bind" the pages by running a loose-leaf ring through the rivets or a piece of ribbon. So it wouldn't be quite like a store-bought board book, but it would be close. You could also put some clear contact paper over the pages to keep the images from running (if you use ink) or falling apart (if you glue different pieces of paper on them.

I'd paste over the pages of a board book you don't particularly like...
