Okay.... I am such! a lurker. I learn a lot from everyone, but rarely feel that I have the experience or eloquence to add to the conversation.
HOWEVER!
I have to share b/c I am SO proud!
I never had the patience to sew before... everything always ended up crooked or fell apart. I never had the patience to tear it apart and try again. I quit trying when I was about 15.

Until I wanted to sew diapers
New baby due any minute and I wanted to do some of it myself.
My mom paid for a lot of the materials... I just had to sew it.

So here are my first attempts.
A cover and a matching wet bag.

First:

Second: Congratulations on expecting!

Third: that's your first try - amazing! You should have seen the first diaper I tried to sew, it was a wreck! Post more pictures when you make them.

Well those are just stinking cute.

what pattern did you use for the cover?

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.

Thanks So much!!!

We used the Diaper Cover Deluxe pattern.

My mom made the first one following exactly and we are starting to adjust it a little...
We are having a hard time with the snap one for my toddler though, the instructions aren't really clear for beginning sewers.

I love that print too... got it from OSDS
