I just bought a sewing machine and don't even know where to begin. I went to looking for "How to Sew" books but there are so many out there. Are you aware of a beginner's guide that is thorough but easy enough for someone who has no experience at all? I would love a recommendation.

My favorite sewing book is the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing. I just checked and it's out of print, but they have used copies. It's just really great, covers the basics very well, but also goes into advanced techniques, so you could do just about anything
