I need an ear flap hat pattern for an 8 month old. Size 8 needles and worsted weight yarn. Anyone got one? I have a pattern saved but it's for an older babe. I do not want to do the math to tweak it. I suck at math and don't have the actual baby here with me. It's not even in the same state.

Here's another one that uses short rows instead of picking up stitches to make flaps. I made two of these last year--cute and they cover the ears quite well.

Edit: sorry, reread your original post and noticed the size 8 needles part. This one's on size 6.

That's ok! I have size 6's. I was just leaving the thouse for a few hours and brought knitting. I was also working on some longies so I already had 8's on me and didn't want to bring more needles.

Hmmm...well the 12 month version was knit in DK weight. I bet if I did it in bulky it would work for DS...hmmm. Don't think I have any bulky yarn kicking around that would work though...
