Can someone give me a set of dimensions for a toddler bed quilt please??????

I want to make one for DD's new bed, and give it to her for a christmas present.

Also - Can I sew lightweight denim & lightweight corderoy together without a problem? I'm using the pink for one side & the denim for the other, hopefully {have to see how much denim I have}. I'll be tieing the quite instead of quilting it, FYI.

Here's a link to standard mattress sizes:

Your final quilt size will depend on how you want it to fit the bed. Do you want it to just fit on top or hang over the sides (a little or a lot).

Oh and I missed your other question before...I'm certainly no expert, but so long as they aren't dramatically different weights, I think the cord and denim would work fine.

DD is getting a sheet set and quilt (plus a toddler bed) all made by yours truly this Xmas!

The quilt/comforter is 50 X 39 inches (my mattress is 28 X 60, a standard crib mattress is 28 X 52)... I measured from a standard "throw" and it looked nice on the bed, covers the sides and bottom, and leaves the pillow exposed (and I don't feel like it's an entrapment hazard, ya know?).

And yep, as long as the weight of the fabric is similar, you should be fine. Denim quilts get heavy, though- I made one out of blue jeans, and it weighs about 15 pounds for a twin size!
