I love that sweet baby cap! I'd love to make one for my (big-headed) almost 3yo. I've been wondering for a while if it would be big enough if knit in worsted weight and the "2yo" size ... guess I'll just have to give it a try one of these days.

I've only seen that cap in kind of wild colorways - I really like how yours came-out with the neutral tone. It really brings the details of the stitches out.

Mooooom! to  guitar.gifDS (1/05) and whistling.gifDSS (11/05).  TTC fingersx.gifour "ours" after VR on 10/12.

LOVE the Kimono, thanks for the link to pattern - I am on a quest for what to knit the newbie and I am VERY picky, some sweaters just don't work for me at all.

Due with number 5 in August. We do all that crunchy stuff.

OMG, I love that kimono. Thanks for posting the pattern. I was going to knit a different kimono for dd, but I think I'll use the pattern you listed instead.

its a great pattern. im so impressed with it. it looks fancy with the YO's but its so simple. i admit i did have to frog a bit since i didnt really read the directions the first time.. but once i actually followed the pattern i was ok. i get a bit excited sometimes..

im nearly done a second one in purple peace fleece and its really cute. im doing it on 3mm needles to make it smaller and i really like how tight the weave is. its going to be a super warm little sweater for the new babe.

Fern, go stick the pattern in the sticky at the top, my love? After Willemsmama was complaining that she could never find the good free stuff, I think it is our mission to enable others....
