To use with my stroller. I just bought a really spiffy new double stroller, and took it to Joann's to find some fleece to match. Has anyone done this before? I was thinking of just cutting the length of fabric in half lengthwise, folding the bottom edge up about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way, and sewing the raw edges together, and then finally cutting it down the middle and adding a zipper.
The foot muff thing I have is in two pieces, one which goes in the seat and has holes for the straps to go through. It has a zip round the bottom half, the top piece attaches over this zip.
I like the 2 piece design as I can take the top off completely if we're in the mall or it happens to be a warm day.
I did think about making one before buying one and wondered if I could just make the top part, my plan was basically a blanket with a couple of ties/velcro straps to attached to the pushchair. I also though about adding elastic so it hooked round the bottom edge of the seat. Since I planned on using it for a newborn who's legs didn't reach the end that seemed like it would work.
