I am so sad that Solarveil fabric is no longer available!! I can't find any anywhere.

Does anyone out there have a lead on where to find some? Or a recommendation for some other fabric for a water sling?

I have a commerciallt made water sling. They sell it as mesh, It is basically a poly jersey type material. What football jersys are made of.

Wow, I am stunned that Solarveil has closed. I read on one site that the owners are retiring and closing the company. I am so surprised that nobody else in the textile world bought their business. Maybe it was never popular for anything but slings and so they didn't sell enough ? I have a Solarveil sling a friend made for me when DS1 was a baby. I no longer have a use for it, but it was the BEST sling, both for the water and just for summer. I had bought a water sling but hated it because it slipped so badly when dry. If I was going to start over and try to make a water sling that would also work well when dry and be as cool and comfortable and lightweight as the solarveil sling was, I guess I would look for a synthetic mesh-type fabric that wasn't slippery.

I'm just bumping up this thread from a while back. Does anyone have any leads/info on water sling fabric since Solarveil went under? I was looking into athletic meshes & swimwear but since it's out of season, it's not in the local stores so I can't figure out which to get that won't be too stretchy. I'll probably end up making a ring sling w/ nylon rings...taylor made makes one but I'm not sure exactly which fabric it is...it just says "water mesh."

Thanks for any suggestions!
