Hi Ladies!

I don't know if anyone caught the Martha Stewart episode yesterday. She had someone making petticoat skirts. I am thinking about making my own Christmas gifts this year, and would love to make a skirt for my 2 1/2 year old niece. I'm not sure I love the directions on Martha's site, though, and was wondering if anyone could give me more guidance?

My question is how would I tailor this to a 2 1/2 year old? I have to admit, I need a pattern in order to sew anything, so this will certainly be branching out.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The video clip of the show segment is now on the martha site. Click the "Monday" tab on her home page.

I also came across the skirt lengths for different ages on the Kaiya Eve site. They're at the bottom of the page.

Good luck! I've always wanted to make one for my girl, but I'm not sure if I could take doing all that fiddly work and she turning her nose up at it!

It does look like a lot of, as you say "fiddly" work. We'll see. They're too cute to pass up though! Thanks for the help!
