DS is 19 months & still nursing. I have sort of had one light spotty short period in April. Nothing since. This week, I'm really emotional & quick to get sad about silly things. Granted, there are some minorly stressful things going on, like family moving away out of state, and weird stress about DH's job. But, I wonder if this is PMS associated with another period coming.

So, is this common? Are the first few periods weird because of the hormones trying to get to the right levels or something?

could be... I know I just started my first one since having my second daughter and I use to get pretty emotional and moody about a day or so before I started after I had my first daughter... the same ended up being true this time too... I actually joked about it with my SO and told him I might get my period this week with how I was acting and sure enough... lol
