A little background... before I had my daughter, my cycles were really unpredictable. I had a short period the last week of April that year and she was conceived the last week of May, just a few days before I was supposed to start my period. I would go a couple months with no period, then have a short one.

I got my period back when DD was 5 months old and it was a little unpredictable a few months. The last 6 months though, it has been 35 days, to the day. It's a long cycle, but it's predictable finally. I still feel like I am ovulating late in my cycle, but not sure when. I haven't been charting or taking my temp or anything because we're not TTC yet, I just get the feeling it's late. Probably because I always did ovulate late, hence the conception date of my daughter.

So, anyway, I'm on day 40 now and still no period. We did the deed just before my last period, which came right on time. Was 5 days long and normal in terms of how heavy it was. We've only done the deed once since then, last week the day before I was supposed to start.

My head is telling me there is no way I could be pregnant, but I thought the same thing when I came up pregnant with DD. Thoughts?

you could take a test for piece of mind, but likely you just ovulated later. If you aren't temping there is no way to know for sure. Lots of things can delay O and hence making your AF come later. Good luck, I hope you get the answer you want.
