Hi !
I will try to keep this short...
I just turned 39. I am the mother of 2, and had three losses (first tri m/c). Most recently had to have a d and c in March. I returned to my cycle as expected...the first few seemed to be 26-27 days, which actually seemed a little short to me - but maybe only buy a day or two.
Today I am beginning again and I am on day 21. Only cramping and brown spotting but it always starts this way.
I am not charting, but seem to be pretty "cyclical" in that I am "dry" when I am supposed to be dry, heavy ewcm toward the middle, etc....

what could cause my cycle to become so short ? any ideas?

Hi there --

I have no answers, but just wanted to tell you you are not alone. I'm 31 and after my most recent loss in December, my cycles have dropped to 26-27 days with pre AF spotting for 2 days or so before that. When AF arrives, it is super light and gone in 3ish days. What gives? I'm on a progesterone supplement and STILL spotting before AF. We have been TTC (with great timing) since May, and the lack of results has me wondering if this shortened cycle is negatively affecting fertility.

Weird, huh?

Me (31) married to M (37). Loving little MD 3/09 and TTC #2 since 5/10.

Thank you so much for replying...always nice to know you are not alone. I wonder if the losses have anything to do with it. Although I didn't have any issues with the 2 prior losses before my children came along.
DARE I say this...but after posting I searched a little more online...and the word "perimenopausal" comes up. (gasp). Can happen anytime in the 30's...Yikes. I never even considered that. Heck, I'm kinda in denial that I just turned 39. Could it be something like that ?
spotting (brown) soooo lightly on and off today which is very odd for me. sorry if tmi.

About the TTC, the short cycle isn't necessarily bad - from what I remember. It's the Luteal phase that should be too short. Are you charting ? Just curious.
