I didn't know of a better place to put this so I figured I'd stick it here. I'm not trying to get pregnant at all. My family is complete. I have 3 children. But knowing that my family was complete, I had an Essure procedure done in December. I had no complications and had the HSG a few months ago to confirm that my tubes are in fact blocked and I am sterile. Wonderful news. It's what I wanted. But for the past several months(like 5???) I have gotten my period every 3 weeks. So basically I have a 21 day cycle, when prior to the essure and for a few months after(like maybe until my tubes were really blocked??????) my cycle was a perfect 28day cycle like clockwork. At first I figured it was stress because I've been going through a lot in the last 6 months. But it's not stoppingn and I'm so sick of having my period every 3 weeks. That gives me about 2 weeks without a period each cycle and I'm so so so tired of bleeding. I know this can happen after a tubal procedure but I was wondering if there was ANYTHING at all I could do to support and encourage my body to lengthen my cycles just for my own peace of mind. I suppose it's not the end of the world if my cycle never returns to normal and I don't regret having the procedure but this is really irritating because I feel that my period rules my life.
