So, to give you background, I have very irregular cycles, and I haven't been tracking them at all recently, nor tracking temp or anything, aside from noticing when it's quite wet down there, which I learned to notice coincided with when I had fertile egg white mucus when I was tracking mucus a year ago. We have been using condoms; I was just about to start tracking temps and charting to avoid again so that we wouldn't have to use them as much...
Three weeks ago, we had an 'iffy' situation; about five days after that is when I got that stretchy, fertile mucus. I had a little bit of spotting this morning which I'm wondering if it's possibly implantation bleeding, and just took a pregnancy test after not drinking for 4 hours, and it came up negative. I do usually have light periods, but not that light!
So, questions, because usually I have a good clear head, but not right now:
1. Is this late enough that the test should have picked up on the hormone if I was pregnant? Should I retest in the morning? Or should I wait longer? How long?
2. Could that be implantation bleeding? Is the timing about right for that? Or is this the lightest period in all of history?
Help is very much appreciated.
