I just started charting this month for the first time since I got pregnant (ds is 18 months - AF returned 5 months ago) just to get an idea of what's going on. I remember reading that you need to get a good length of sleep to get accurate BBT readings in the morning. Well, ds still nurses all night and I'm not planning on night-weaning him anytime soon ... is this seriously messing with my temperatures? Is it even worth it? My temperatures have been very low and I haven't had an obvious temperature shift yet and it's day 27. So, another question is, could I have AF but not ovulate?

Thanks for any input .

It is still valuable to temp, despite night nursing. Just try to take your temp at a consistent time and note anything special (waking really early or really late, getting no sleep, etc.). If you are not ovulating the bleeding you experience is called "breakthrough bleeding" and is not a true AF. So, you can not ovulate and still bleed, it's just not a true period.

I agree with the PP, it is still valuable to temp. I am having 28 day cycles and would have thought they were normal if I weren't temping. Turns out I'm O'ing on CD 22 and only have a 6 day LP, definitely good to know!

Ok, thanks for your replies. I'll keep temping. I had stopped just because they were so low and weird and not making any sense but I guess I'll just have to wait a couple months to see a pattern.
