I am just wondering if this is normal...

I got my first PPAF when DS turned 9 months. It has now been 7 weeks and no sign of another AF. I took a hpt and it was neg. I'm guessing this is normal but I didn't go this long in between AF when it returned after I had my first son (and was still bfing him). Should I just wait and see if AF comes back soon...how long to wait...should I go to the dr?

as long as you are not doing anything that could be harmful, I wouldn't worry about it. I have heard of others who have periods come and go for a while before starting regulary.

When my 1st baby was 4 months old I got af, then about 2 months later got another, then about 6 weeks later got another, etc etc. They were very long cycles and I didn't always ovulate (I was charting). I bought a bunch of hpt's cheap on ebay so I could test occasionally if I felt like it. When she was 10 months old I did get pg again (was trying) but was taking Vitamin B6 to get my luteal phase long enough since I was still bf'ing.

So, long, weird cycles are normal while bf'ing.

When my 2nd baby was a couple of months old I had some spotting that seemed like the start of af, but it wasn't, and then I never ended up getting af at all. Instead, I got pg when he was 7 months old!
