I'm interviewing several doulas and I'm not sure what's a reasonable price for doula services in Atlanta. The doula I hired for my first pregnancy was in rural Michigan so I can't use her price as a valid comparison.  Can anyone share what they've encountered over the last year or so?  Thanks!

Ive heard anywhere from 300-1000 depending on experience level. I think the 500-700 range is the norm. I paid $600 and I hired my childbirth instructor. I would suggest interviewing at least 3 and make a lot of phone calls.
Hope that helps,
Stephanie

I charge $375, and I feel that's pretty average for the area. A lot of less experienced doulas that I know are charging in the $150-200 range.

I charge $150 for placenta encapsulation, and that's right in the middle as well.

I agree with Stephanie. My fee is in that range. I don't know of any doulas who work for ~$200 unless they are using the births for certification.
