My son's doctor did a urine test on my seemingly healthy 18 month old. I was called and told that he has a UTI and needs to see a Urologist. They referred me to Dr Hicks in Huntsville but I have read terrible reviews on him. Are there any intact friendly doctors around the Dekalb or Jackson county area?

Sorry I haven't checked out this forum in a while--our son saw Dr. David Joseph, the chief of Pediatric Urology through UAB in B'ham.  This isn't close to Dekalb Co., but I'd recommend the trip.  We were facing a potential surgery for a mild deformity of our son's penis and Dr. Joseph did not recommend the surgery and was very encouraging to us that we had not circumcised, commenting "that's how God made him!"  He is quite respected and well-known.  Don't know about anyone else in his group, but if this info isn't too late, maybe your pedi can make a referral to Children's for you.  [Dr. Joseph runs a urology clinic through Children's Hospital once a week or so.]  Best wishes!
