I am 30 wks now and have been seeing a midwife that will deliver at a hospital, which is fine.  But the more I started to look into home birth, the more I want to do this option.  Unfortunately, my midwife does not do home births.  Do you think I'm too far along to switch now?  Also, I live in the Henry County area of GA and do not want to travel too far to see a midwife.  Any recommendations???

You haven't waited too long! I'm not sure how far you will have to travel, but there are many wonderful homebirth midwives in georgia. If homebirth is calling you, there's a good reason!  PM me if you would like more info on midwives/places to start.

I don't know where to look to find anyone in Henry county, but I can say it's not too late! I switched at 34 weeks with my first. Good luck. thumb.gif

Thank you that is very encouraging smile.gif  I'm very excited about doing this.  I had my first two children in the hospital, not bad experiences but the one thing I can say is by the end of day one I was ready to go home.  So how nice it will be to already be home smile.gif

I also waited until 30 weeks to switch. It's not too late! I don't know about any midwives in your area though, maybe someone else can help with that.
