I'm sure this has been asked before... my apologies if this is repetitive. I am seeking a preferably holistic pediatric or family dentist. I live in Atlanta, but am willing to travel. I heard about Pediatric Dental Town in Suwanee/Cumming... Dr. Hanson specifically. Anyone have experience with this practice? I am trying to find someone who will not push us into using fluoride treatments. Thanks.

I have no info on Dr. Hanson but the IAOMT DDS association promotes mercury free dentistry and most are holistic.

Dr Hansen is wonderful, can't say enough good things about him.  He does recommend fluoride, but you as the parent are always free to decline it, or to question anything with him.  He never pushes if I don't want to do something his way, and I always question things!  We went from a ped dentist with a serious God complex to Dr. Hansen, and he is just so kind and gentle.  The least overbearing doctor ever.  He recommends and sells xylitol products, which I think do wonders for my kids' dental health.

Oh good! I definitely want my kids to be fluoride-free, and have been recently reading about xylitol. Glad to know Dr. Hansen sells xylitol products. I think I will call his office tomorrow. Thanks for the info!!

We saw him for the first time today and it was the best dental experience I have had with my kids to date. Two thumbs up!!!
