The kids play area at the Pt Charlotte mall. That's been our regular hangout this summer

I hope to see you there!

Anyone want to change it up and have a meet-up at our house next week? I'm in NP right off 75. We can do Monday if we are done by 2pm (doc apt) or anytime on Tuesday.

Hey there MJW,

Sounds like a great idea to me! I can be there Tuesday if that works for any one else. I'll be glad to bring some snacks too.

omg that is hilarious! i can't wait to show him.

I'll pm you all directions tonight when I put sav to bed... she's getting impatient with me on the computer now. we just have to figure out a time. If we do 11 then we'll have to order a pizza or bring lunches or something (i have no food and desparately need to go food shopping!) Or we could do after lunch around 1pm, either time works for us

After lunch is fine for us. I don't think a bunch of tomato saucy kids at your house is a good idea

Hey, mamas! I so wish we could be there tomorrow, but ds1 is throwing up this evening and has a fever. : And he was looking foward to going so much, too. I am sure he got sick from the little guy we were babysitting. He's so pitiful on the couch, he said "I don't think I can go to Tyler's house tomorrow, mommy. I don't want to eat any food tomorrow, either".
We will be at the next one, though.
Hope you guys have fun tomorrow!

Aww, I hope I is feeling better soon. Poor little guy. After lunch is good for us, I pick A up at 1 from school so we'll be there a little after.

Sorry guys, but work has intervened and I am not able to come as of yet. I told MJW that I'd head over late if possible. If I miss it, I hope to come to the next one.

Thank you. : He seems a bit better. Hasn't thrown up today, which is good. Now L. has a fever as of tonight, though. : I've just been giving them both emergen-c and motrin for the fever. : Does anyone know of a homeopathic treatment for fever that works? Neither one of my kids tolerate fever well at all.
Sorry we missed today! I know both kids really wanted to go. We will be at the next meet-up, though, barring sickness, of course. (which I am hoping will be gone soon!)

I always use Ferrum Phos on the onset of a fever, which works very well for Tyler. I have the highlands kids kit and it says you can also use Aconite, belladonna, and chamomilla for fevers, depending on the other symptoms. They recommend chamomilla for vomitting. I hope they both feel better soon

We're glad you came! Yes, I have her shoes, and I forgot to give you the toy for Natalya too.

We have the Hylands kids kit too and ferrum phos works best for Aiden too, I've tried the others without success. I hope they are both feeling better soon!

M, thanks for having us over - it was fun! Aiden had a great time and is still talking about T's jack-in-the-box

Well, they both woke up today fever-free! Yay! I'm going to go to Sunsplash this week and get some ferrum phos to have on hand. I hated using the motrin, but I didn't have anything else.

L&IsMama~I second the ferrum phos... It always worked really well for Ds. He seems to respond really well to homeopathics~better than me, lol.

To mjw2003~: I totally forgot about the toy... I think I may see her either Friday or Saturday. I have to give her the diaper covers too (I have 1 out of 3 done, lol!) I know you are not available on Thursdays, will you be going to the Rosemary group Friday? I don't know if I want to go all the way up there... I haven't decided yet. Maybe we can get together Friday. LMK!

Jilian~I was telling Dh how cute Aiden was with the jack in the box. He reminds me of My ds when he was that age.

It's Sarah, mommy to Sophie (age 2).

Sophie mostly self-weaned shortly after her 2nd birthday in June. I encouraged it a little, because I just got my period back in February, but am yet to ovulate (though with 45-60 day cycles, it's kind of hard to tell!). Since I am planning on staying at home until my last child (whoever that is) is school-aged, I kind of wanted to get the ball rolling on TTC #2.

Anyway, we would love to start coming to some of the meet ups! We just joined the Kids Play Place in North Port, which is giving us the change to get out of the house but not into the heat. It's really nice and seems to be busy so far.

Anyway, just wanted to say a quick hello! Have a great weekend!!

Hello again, I wondered where you went. We'd love to see you and Sophie at some meet ups! How do you like the play place in NP? Is that the one on 41 in those new shops? We've been thinking of trying it out.

That's the one! We do really like it, and are looking forward to October when the classes start. Right now it's just free play. Since we only have one friend that we meet with on a regular basis, I really want Sophie to be around other kids. We're not super strict NFL, but it seems like all the parents I meet down here are in the other direction - even a playgroup that meets at McDonalds to play and have lunch. It's just hard to relate to someone who is giving their 10 month old chicken nuggets and sips of Diet Coke! :
